| Women for Women International provides women survivors of war, civil strife and other conflicts with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency, thereby promoting viable civil societies. Women for Women International has direct experience in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rwanda, Kosovo, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Colombia, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq, working with the most marginalized women whose needs are not otherwise being met. It has assisted more than 24,000 women, distributing nearly $10 million in direct aid and microcredit loans. Also currently we are beginning an Emergency Response Fund to aid the launch of a new office in The Democratic Republic of the Congo, (DRC). |
